Owen joined Cullen Babington Hughes as a Family Lawyer in May 2011.

Owen has experience in the areas of Family Law and Wills and Estate Planning and has a particular interest in family law property settlements and complex children's issues.

Owen frequently appears in the Family Court of Western Australia representing the interests of clients in respect to the division of matrimonial assets, spousal maintenance and the care of children.

Owen's recent experience includes: 

  • negotiation and preparation of Binding Financial Agreements and Binding Child Support Agreements;
  • securing applications for Costs in the Family Court;
  • successfully defending interim applications for spousal maintenance and partial property settlement;
  • obtaining orders setting aside Indian Family Court judgment on basis of jurisdiction and forum non conveniens;
  • contested Family Court arguments in respect to relocation, residence and altering arrangements for children's schooling; and
  • involvement in serious abuse matters, including criminal sexual abuse and resulting convictions
