Catriona's practice centres on commercial and corporate litigation, with emphasis on the areas of construction and property, trade practices and franchising disputes.

Catriona regularly appears in the Supreme and District Courts and the Western Australian State Administrative Tribunal and the Building Disputes Tribunal. Her experience spans all levels of representation, including proceedings at appellate level and extensive experience in actions under the Construction Contracts Act 2004 (WA).

Catriona is involved with a number of professional and community organisations including:

• Law Society Access to Justice Committee;
• B-Attitudes Inc, a not for profit organisation

Her recent experience includes:

• advising and acting on behalf of construction companies during disputes, including successfully defeating multiple Construction Contracts Act applications for adjudication;
• defending home-owners in claims brought against them by builders both in the Supreme Court and under the Construction Contracts Act;
• representing franchisees and franchisors in various Supreme and District Court actions; and
• advising and acting in disputes relating to the sale and purchase of businesses, breach of franchise agreements and misrepresentation.
